Francesco Careri and Giorgio Talocci will be talking of two recent experiences the research group LAC_Laboratorio Arti Civiche has undertaken in Brazil.
The first one in São Paulo, as part of the exhibition São Paulo Calling organised by the State Housing Secretary along with the italian architect and urbanist Stefano Boeri, and developed with Azzurra Muzzonigro (LAC), Laura Cionci and Daniele Zacchi.
The second one framed inside the event Corpocidade, organised in Salvador de Bahia by Paola Berenstein Jacques, author of The Aesthetics of the Favela, developped with Maria Rocco (LAC).
With the relentless transformation of such huge brazilian cities as background, the tale of these two experiences will be the occasion for debating possible alternative ways of interaction with informal communities and for questioning the growing interest of the world of star architects for the realm of informality and informal urbanisms.
